Designer's Week was held in Brussels earlier this month and one of my favorite installations featured was Edward van Vliet's Sushi Collection. The chaise lounges, seating ottomans and beach-ball pillows incorporated a mix of colorful, fish loving fabrics and really made me smile. Not surprising, van Vliet was a fabric designer before moving on to interiors. I always admire designers who parlay their work into other fields, it makes me wonder if someday I might find myself designing something different!
